egypt shows had flashes of brilliance. Part of the problem is that they SHOULD have been better.

The Dead.......... in Egypt.

I mean, the expectations for such a band in the shadows of the Great Pyramids...thise shows should have been epic and just were not. Whether it was sound problems or just too much local hasheesh indluged in by the band the shows are very wart-heavy, if you will. And the overall energy of many other '78 shows (see Red Rocks, May) is lacking, glaringly so again, given the exotic and historic, and potentially mystical locale.

I do like much of the Oligreed sound, and the Shakedown as noted on the 16th....one of the "fires" has some soul, for sure, but overall, given the potential--a bit of a disappointment.
